FAQs
What are the differences between the non-Cosmos wallets and the Keplr wallet?
Keplr Wallet is known for its strong integration with the Cosmos ecosystem and enables users to interact seamlessly with Cosmos-based projects. On the other hand, MetaMask, Solana, etc. are more widely used and supports Ethereum or Solana-compatible networks, making it a go-to choice for users primarily operating within those ecosystems.
Can I connect multiple wallets to the same dYdX account?
No. Each dYdX Chain address is tied to a single wallet. To use a different wallet, disconnect your current one first; a different wallet will generate a different dYdX Chain address.
I connected the wrong wallet. Can I transfer my positions or funds?
You cannot transfer open positions between wallets. Close your positions, withdraw your funds, then deposit into the new wallet address.
Which wallets support deposits from Solana, and how does it work?
Only Phantom (Solana) supports deposits directly from the Solana network, including USDC from Solana. EVM wallets like MetaMask are limited to EVM-compatible chains. When depositing via Phantom, make sure you have a small amount of
SOL in your wallet to cover the necessary gas fees on the Solana network.
Do I need DYDX tokens for gas fees?
Certain on-chain transactions (staking, governance voting, some withdrawals) require a small amount of DYDX or USDC for gas fees. Ensure you have a sufficient balance before initiating these transactions.
Can I use a hardware wallet with dYdX?
Yes. Ledger is supported through MetaMask. Connect your Ledger device to MetaMask first, then use MetaMask to connect to dYdX. Note: Keplr + Ledger is not supported.
What if my wallet is not listed?
Try the “Other” option. While not officially supported, many wallets may still work. If you experience issues, see the Troubleshooting for Supported Wallets article or contact support via live chat.
